For sale is a 1945 WWII Surplus item: The Computer Servo-Amplifier Assembly for the B-29 "Superfortress" Fire Control System, Stock No. It was left in my late father's "collection" of military equipment, stored in a dry, smoke-free home.I imagine he intended to use them for parts, perhaps just to study them to learn more about electronics, or whatever. I have a few other pieces listed, including a 2CV1C1 servo-amplifier. The original box has been torn somehow in storage. When we first opened the box, the parts section had been wrapped with a red plastic. With age, the plastic had deteriorated all over the box (see what remained in the second photos), so we removed the unit and blew away the plastic pieces. It also allowed us to take clearer photos of the unit. The original inspection tag from 1945 was still attached, and a Data Sheet was enclosed, with a check list dated 8-14-1945. There is also a photo of the unit, listing all the components in it, which I will enclose. Compare the photos with my photos to see exactly what is there. I see a few tubes listed, but there were no tubes included in the box. Both sheets are brittle, and I've enclosed them in page protectors, which make the photos not as sharp. Whether the parts might be useful for you or not, this is still a great chance to own a piece of authentic WWII B-29 "Superfortress" history!
